FORT MYERS, Fla. - During its Spring Break trip to Florida, the Villanova golf team played in a pair of dual matches against Florida Gulf Coast. The teams played on Thursday, March 5 at Hammock Bay and again the next day at West Bay Club in Estero. The Eagles won both matches, including a 296-323 win on Thursday and a 302-334 decision on Friday.

Sophomore Colin List (Boynton Beach, Fla.) posted the best individual round of the week for Villanova on Thursday. He posted a 78 at the Hammock Bay course to lead six Wildcats that competed in the match. Sophomore Brendan Kelly (Annapolis, Md.) shot an 80 in Thursday's round and was followed by seniors Brett Bergman (Pittsburgh, Pa.) and Doug Stadler (Wexford, Pa.) with scores of 81 and 84, respectively.

In the match on Friday, sophomore Conor Casey (Madison, N.J.) led all Villanova scorers by carding a round of 82 at the West Bay Club. List came in with an 83 for the day and senior Andrew Alexander (Rochester, Minn.) registered an 84. Kelly rounded out the team's counting scores for the day with a round of 85.

The Wildcats are set to return to action at the George Washington Invitational on March 20-21.
