Villanova's Michael Kania was voted as the Philadelphia Inquirer Academic All-Area Golf Performer of the Year and is one of five student-athletes named to the Academic All-Area Golf Team voted by the sports information offices at the 28 institutions from the Philadelphia metropolitan area.

Senior golf co-captain Michael Kania (Haverford, Pa.) has been named to the 2013 All-BIG EAST Men's Golf team as announced by the conference office Thursday afternoon. Kania concluded a stellar career with the Wildcats following the conclusion of the BIG EAST Championship on April 28th.

BIG EAST Championship Final Results
Following the final round of the BIG EAST Men's Golf Championship held at the par-72, 7,089-yard Watson Course in Reunion, Fla., the Villanova Wildcats finished in 8th place in the 12 team field after three days of competition.
