Scottish Team Competes with Villanova in Men's Golf Tournament

This past summer, several Villanova golfers faced off against a college team from Scotland.

On Monday, June 2, 1997, Villanova University, in conjunction with St. Joesph's University, Temple University and Lehigh University fielded a squad of 10 golfer's to complete against the University of St. Andrews, Scotland.

The match was played at the beautiful Aronimink Golf Club in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The competition was played in intermitten rain but a good time was had by all competitors.

Thanks to the superb playing of J.T. Wambold and Steve Probst of Temple University, Steve Horky, Anthony Napoletano, Andy Wright and Coach Joe Moran of Villanova University, Aaron Bracy of St. Joseph's University, Phil Auerbach, Scott Pasquale and Tom Skeans of Lehigh University. The Philadelphia Area Colleges edged opponents 24 to 21 to bring home the victory.
