Villanova University head football coach Andy Talley was honored by the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame at a banquet held at the famous Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Tuesday, Dec. 12. Talley was recognized for his dedication and leadership as the Chairman of the National Football Foundation East Region, as well as serving as President of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame Philadelphia chapter.

Each year, the National Football Foundation Hall of Fame honors presidents of its 118 chapters. In addition to Talley, Hunter Jackson (south region), Patricia Chryst (midwest region) and Janie & Bill Riddle (west region) were also honored for their contributions.

"It is great to work for an organization that perpetuates both high school and college football," said Talley. "I am honored to receive this award and I appreciate the recognition that we have received for rebuilding the Philadelphia chapter."

Talley just finished his 16th year as the Wildcat head coach. During his tenure at Villanova, Talley has recorded a 106-66-1 record and he has guided his team to five NCAA I-AA playoff appearances and three conference championships. His 106 victories ranks him as the winningest coach in Villanova football history.
