VILLANOVA, Pa.--Fresh off its first playoff victory since 2002, the Villanova football team (10-2) is on its way for a clash with top-seeded conference rival James Madison (11-1) in the second round of the NCAA Division I Football Championship next Saturday, December 6 at Bridgeforth Stadium. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.

Tickets for next Saturday's game are currently on sale at JMUSports.com as well as by calling the James Madison ticket office at 540-568-3853. Further information on tickets to the game will also be available on Monday at Villanova.com.

The Wildcats earned their spot in the second round with a 55-28 win over Colgate on Saturday at Villanova Stadium. Led by a game-starting opening kickoff return for a touchdown, Villanova rolled to the most points it has ever scored in a postseason game.

While the Dukes are the top-seeded team in the 16-team field for the FCS playoffs, they were separated by just one game in the CAA South Division standings from the Wildcats. The teams played a memorable regular season contest on Homecoming weekend at Villanova on October 25, with James Madison needing a last-second hail mary pass to emerge with a 23-19 win over the Wildcats. The game marked the only conference loss for Villanova this season.

For the second straight season, the CAA set a record with five of its teams selected to the playoffs. No other conference has ever duplicated this feat. Four of the five league teams to make the field of 16 advanced to the second round in action on Saturday, including Villanova, James Madison, New Hampshire and Richmond.
