Comcast Networks to Air Two Classic Villanova Postseason Games

Two of the most exciting moments in the history of Villanova Athletics came just a few years ago and now fans can relive the memories of the 2009 men's basketball run to the Final Four as well as the national title won by the football team. Over the next two weeks the men's basketball Elite Eight game between Villanova and Pittsburgh (March 28, 2009) and the football national championship game between Villanova and Montana (December 18, 2009) will each air a total of four times on the Comcast Network and Comcast SportsNet in the Philadelphia area.
2009 NCAA Basketball Tournament - East Region Final
A driving layup by Scottie Reynolds in the final second of the game is one of the iconic moments in NCAA Tournament history and his shot propelled Villanova over conference rival Pittsburgh to send the Wildcats to their first Final Four appearance since the 1985 national championship season.
Air Dates
2009 FCS National Championship Game
Led by 159 rushing yards and two touchdowns from Matt Szczur the football team won the first national title in program history with a thrilling 23-21 win over Montana. Szczur earned championship game MVP honors and Villanova ran for over 350 yards in defeating the Grizzlies. The Wildcats finished a magical season with a 14-1 record.
