Villanova Announces 2018 Football Schedule
Nov. 2, 2017

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova University Athletics today announced the 2018 Wildcat football schedule. The Wildcats will play an 11-game schedule next year, including eight CAA games and three non-conference contests.

The Wildcats will open the 2018 campaign on Labor Day Weekend against city rival Temple. This will be the second straight year that the two teams have played one another. Temple tallied a 16-13 win earlier this season on Sept. 9. Following the Temple game, Villanova will travel to Lehigh for a second consecutive season for a game on Sept. 8.

The home and CAA opener is set for Sept. 15 when the Wildcats host the Towson Tigers. Villanova will stay home the next week on Sept. 22 when the Wildcats close out the non conference portion of the schedule against Bucknell.

After two straight road games at Stony Brook (Sept. 29) and Maine (Oct. 6), the Wildcats return to the Main Line to battle James Madison on Oct. 13. Following a bye on Oct. 20, Villanova closes out the October part of its schedule with a home game versus New Hampshire on Oct. 27. This will be the first meeting with New Hampshire since the 2013 season.

November begins with a road contest at Richmond on Nov. 3, before William & Mary comes to Villanova on Nov. 10 for the final home game of the 2018 regular season. The annual Battle of the Blue game against Delaware is set for Nov. 17 at Delaware Stadium.
