Robertson Earns CAA Rookie of the Week Honors

Richmond, Va.-- The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) today announced that redshirt freshman quarterback John Robertson has been named the league's Rookie of the Week. Robertson earns the honor for his play in Saturday's 49-35 loss to Towson. This is the fifth time this year that he has garnered CAA Rookie of the Week distinction.

In the Towson game, Robertson completed 17-of-23 for 216 yards and a career-high four touchdowns. He also added 27 yards on the ground and a rushing touchdown.

After nine games, Robertson is 114-of-187 for 1,496 yards to go with 12 touchdowns and five interceptions. He also has rushed for 741 yards on 136 carries and a team-high 10 touchdowns.

Villanova has a bye this week and will return to action on Saturday, Nov. 10 when the James Madison Dukes come to Villanova Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
