Villanova sophomore punt returner Poppy Livers has been named the CAA Special Teams Player of the Week. Livers earns the award for his play in Saturday's 49-24 win at Georgia State.

Livers scored Villanova's second touchdown of the game against Georgia State with a 66-yard punt return for a touchdown. This was the first punt return by a Villanova player in 32 years and the first during head coach Andy Talley's 28-year Wildcat career. Prior to Livers, the last Wildcat to return a punt for a score was David Martin against VMI on Oct. 25, 1980.

After eight games, Livers has returned nine punts for 118 yards for an average of 13.1 yards per return.

Livers and the Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 27, when the Towson Tigers visit Villanova Stadium. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
