Two Villanova Wildcats have been honored for their play in Saturday's 38-14 upset win at No. 3 Old Dominion. Senior corner Eric Loper has been named the CAA Defensive Player of the Week, while redshirt freshman quarterback John Robertson earned Rookie of the Week accolades.

Loper led the Wildcat defensive charge against the high-powered Monarch offense. Entering the game, Old Dominion was averaging 654 yards of total offense per game and 56.2 points per contest. Loper and the Wildcat defense held Old Dominion to 14 points and 350 yards of offense. Loper played a part in both Monarch turnovers, including an interception and a fumble recovery. He also added four tackles.

Robertson earns Rookie of the Week honors for the fourth time this season. In the win over Old Dominion, Robertson completed 10-of-18 for 151 yards and a 44-yard touchdown pass to go with 24 carries for 189 yards and three touchdowns. The 189 yard performance ranks as the ninth best effort in Villanova history. It was also Robertson's second consecutive 100-yard rushing game.

John Robertson ran for 189 yards and threw for 151 yards in the Old Dominion victory.

Villanova returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 20, with a game at Georgia State. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m.
