Wildcats Move Up Two Spots to No. 7 in Sports Network Poll

VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova Wildcats moved up two spots to No. 7 in this week's Sports Network poll. Villanova garnered 1,876 points in the poll and are one of four CAA teams in the top 10.

CAA member James Madison occupies the top spot for the third consecutive week with 2,649 points followed by Appalachian State with 2,507 points and Elon with 2,151 points. Wofford (2,082) and Cal Poly (2,037 points) round out the top five. CAA members Richmond (1,608 points) and Massachusetts (1,497 points) are nine and 10 respectively.

Villanova is coming off a bye this week and will return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18, when the Wildcats travel to Rhode Island. Kickoff in Kingston is set for noon.
