VILLANOVA, Pa.--In its return home after two straight road games Villanova (4-1, 2-0 CAA) puts a four-game winning streak as well as an unblemished CAA record on the line Saturday evening when it hosts Richmond (3-2, 1-1 CAA) at Villanova Stadium. The teams kickoff at 6 p.m.

Strong Defense Prevails Again as Wildcats Down No. 14 Richmond 28-7
Senior quarterback Chris Whitney (Warminster, Pa.) ran for over 100 yards in the first quarter alone and the defense gave its typically strong effort as No. 5 Villanova (6-2, 4-1 CAA) defeated No. 14 Richmond (4-4, 2-3 CAA) by a final score of 28-7 in an early matinee on Saturday afternoon. The outcome marked the third straight win overall and the 15th consecutive home victory for the Wildcats, who built a 21-0 halftime lead.
