RICHMOND, Va.--Villanova junior punter Mark Hamilton (Gaithersburg, Md.) has been named the CAA Special Teams Player of the Week. Hamilton earns the honor for his play in last Saturday's 35-14 win at Maine.

In the victory, Hamilton registered seven punts for 303 yards and an average of 43.3 yards per punt. Three of his seven punts were of 50 yards or longer, including a season-long 63-yard effort. He recorded a 59-yard punt when the Wildcats were forced to punt from their end zone. The punt forced Maine to take over on its own 25-yard line. He also placed two punts inside the 20-yard line.

Hamilton and the Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 6, when they host the Richmond Spiders. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m.
