Philadelphia, Pa. - Villanova University senior place kicker Joe Marcoux (Campbell Hall, N.Y.) has been named The Sports Network's FCS National Special Teams Player of the Week. Marcoux was also named the CAA Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time this season.

In Villanova's thrilling 26-20 win over No. 1 ranked Richmond last Saturday, Marcoux was four-of-four in field goal attempts and two-of-two in PATs. The career-high tying four field goals came from 21 yards, 25 yards, 29 yards and a career-long of 48 yards. The 48-yarder rates as the sixth longest field goal in Villanova history. Marcoux, who is 8-of-10 in field goal attempts and 10-of-11 in PATs this season, leads the Wildcats in scoring with 34 points.

Marcoux and the Wildcats return to action on Saturday, Oct. 4, when they travel to Williamsburg, Va., to take on the William & Mary Tribe. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
