Entering Saturday afternoon's game the Wildcats have won two straight contests against Fordham (28-13) and Rhode Island (31-10), each time shutting out their opponent in the second half while surging to the victory. Villanova will also be playing its fourth consecutive game to begin the season in the Philadelphia area. The Wildcats opened the season by playing Temple at Lincoln Financial Field and have since hosted back-to-back home games. Saturday afternoon's game marks only the third time in the history of FCS football that two coaches with at least 220 career victories will square off against each other. Villanova head coach Andy Talley comes into the game with a 220-135-2 record and Penn head coach Al Bagnoli owns a career record of 222-73. Bagnoli leads all active FCS coaches in career winning percentage and Talley is fifth on that list for career victories. Overall this is the 45th time in the history of college football and the 16th time at the FCS level that two coaches with 200 or more wins will have their teams play against each other.
