VILLANOVA, Pa.--Saturday afternoon's football game between Villanova (1-1, 0-0 CAA) and Rhode Island (0-1, 0-0 CAA) will air live at 3:30 PM on Comcast SportsNet in the Philadelphia area. The game is the conference opener for both teams and the Wildcats will be looking for their second straight victory after posting a 28-13 win over Fordham last Saturday in their home opener. Villanova has run for over 200 yards in each of its first two games this season, a feat the team had not accomplished since the 1992 season. In their CAA opener the Wildcats will face a Rams team that they have beaten in 14 of 17 previous meetings. Rhode Island, however, won the last matchup by a 17-14 score in Kingston on November 6, 2010. Redshirt freshman quarterback John Robertson was named the CAA Football Rookie of the Week on Monday after leading Villanova to last week's win over Fordham in his first career start. Robertson tallied his first career touchdown pass on a 25-yard strike to Norman White and also ran for a touchdown in last week's victory.
