Fans attending home football games at Villanova Stadium this season will be treated to an enhanced gameday experience as a result of several stadium updates and new amenities which were revealed this week. The highlights include a Fan Fest in the west end zone and a pregame “Wildcat Walk” in the A-2 parking lot. Parking changes and tailgating rules were also announced, along with a new location for the Kids Zone.
All of the enhanced features at Villanova Stadium will be in place for the home opener on Saturday, September 16 when the Wildcats host Lafayette for a 6 p.m. kickoff. The regular season home schedule also includes dates against Maine (Oct. 7 – 1pm), Elon (Oct. 28 – 3:30pm), Richmond (Nov. 4 – 1pm) and Delaware (Nov. 18 – 1pm). Single game tickets are now on sale and can be purchased here or by clicking on the links in the chart at the bottom of this release.
Below is detailed information on the updates and new game-day amenities at Villanova Stadium.
Parking and Traffic Patterns (Campus and Parking Map)
Several construction projects are ongoing around campus and spectators are advised of the following parking guidelines which will be in effect throughout the season. All lots will open three hours prior to kickoff on game days, except for the A-2 lot which will open four hours prior to kickoff.
A-2 Parking Lot | VIP
Parking for the A-2 lot will be reserved for those who have purchased season tailgate parking passes. Tailgating is permitted in this lot for all patrons who have purchased spaces. There will be no day of game sales due to lack of availability.
I-1 Parking Garage | General Parking
- Parking for the I-1 garage will be permitted on game days for a $10 charge. All general parking will take place in the I-1 garage. Patrons will pay upon entry and receive a stub as proof of payment. Parking will be $10 for all game days except the Family Weekend game (Saturday, September 16) when there will be no charge to park. The I-1 garage will open three hours prior to kickoff.
- General parking overflow will take place in I-2, S-4 and S-5 lots at Villanova Public Safety and Radnor Police’s discretion. Parking in these lots will follow the same rules and regulations as the I-1 garage.
Tailgating is only permitted in the A-2 lot for season ticket holders who have purchased their parking passes for that lot. Passes are sold out on a season ticket basis and for Family Weekend. Due to continued changes with the construction footprint, additional spots may be available for individual games. If you are interested in purchasing parking passes on an individual game basis, please contact the ticket office at 610-519-4100. Tailgating is not permitted during the game. Fans will have 90 minutes postgame to tailgate in the A-2 lot.
New this year is the Fan Fest in the west end zone, which will be open from 90 minutes prior to kickoff until the end of the third quarter. The Fan Fest is located on field level just outside the entrance to the Andrew J. Talley Athletic Center and will have Yuengling beer selections, wine and food available for purchase. Alcohol sales are limited to this space and fans may not bring their beer and wine into the stadium seating areas.
Don’t miss the “Wildcat Walk” which will take place approximately 2.5 hours prior to kickoff for each game. The band, cheerleaders, dance team and twirlers will lead the team through the A-2 parking lot on the way to their locker room in the Andrew J. Talley Athletic Center.
The Kids Zone will be located on the south side of the stadium, in the grassy area near the Jumbo Elliott statue. Featuring inflatables and other games for kids in eighth grade or below, the Kids Zone will be open from 90 minutes before kickoff until the end of the first half.
The game programs for football have gone digital. Download the official game program for all home games on the Villanova Athletics mobile app, which can be downloaded from the App Store or Google Play.
Among the concession offerings at home games this season will be the Cuisine365 food truck located in the southeast corner of the stadium. Cuisine365 will be bringing their Nutritious365 Mobile to every game and will offer healthy and delicious menu options for Wildcats fans coming to Villanova Stadium. All concessions will be available from 90 minutes prior to kickoff until the end of the third quarter.
Advance ticket purchases can be made online at villanova.com or by calling the Villanova Ticket Office at 610-519-4100. Day of game tickets can be purchased starting three hours prior to kickoff at the main ticket counter on the south side of Villanova Stadium. General will call will open at the same time. Visiting team will call is located directly outside of the main ticket counters. Villanova player guest, performer, and recruit ticket pick up will take place outside of gate 5.
As a reminder to fans, the day to day operations of the Villanova Ticket Office now take place at the main ticket counters in Villanova Stadium and not in Jake Nevin Field House. The ticket offices in the Field House will only be utilized when a ticketed event is taking place in the building.
