VILLANOVA, Pa. - On Saturday evening the Villanova football season opener at the University of Maryland will broadcast live online at www.ESPN360.com. The Wildcats take on the Terrapins in College Park on Saturday with kickoff slated for 6 p.m. at Byrd Stadium.

ESPN360's video streaming content is similar to a typical television broadcast with the exception of it being delivered through the Internet. The broadcast may only be available to users with certain internet service providers.

The Wildcats are opening the season against a Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS) opponent for the third straight year. Villanova has taken on Rutgers and University of Central Florida in the past two seasons, respectively.

Villanova enters the season carrying the momentum of four consecutive wins to close out the 2006 campaign. The Wildcats return 27 letterwinners from last year's team, including five starters on offense, six on defense and two specialists.

During the season, Villanova will be one of three teams from the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) to play a game that airs on the ESPN family of networks. James Madison visits North Carolina on Saturday evening and Rhode Island visits Army on September 8.

The inaugural season of CAA Football begins Thursday, August 30 when rivals Delaware and William & Mary face off at Walter J. Zable Stadium in Williamsburg, Va. Kickoff between the Blue Hens and Tribe is slated for 7:30 p.m. The game will be televised live by CN8.
