RICHMOND, Va. - On Tuesday, July 22, the Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) announced its 2014 football television package. The conference games will be broadcast on the league's three broadcast partners including NBC Sports Network, NBC Sports Regional Networks and the American Sports Network (ASN). The ASN is the conference's newest television partner. ASN is a collegiate sports initiative of the Sinclair Broadcast Group, which has affiliates that reach approximately 38.9-percent of U.S. households.
NBC Sports Regional Networks - which includes Comcast SportsNet - consists of 11 regional networks that deliver more than 2,400 live sporting events annually to more than 43 million homes. NBC Sports Regional Networks will carry a total of 11 CAA Football contests in 2014.
Villanova will have five television games this season on three different networks. The season opener at Syracuse on Friday, Aug. 29, will be live on ESPN3. The Wildcats will have three home games televised live, including Sept. 20th versus James Madison on Comcast SportsNet, and the Nov. 8th contest against Towson and the Nov. 15th game versus Albany which will both be on the American Sports Network. The team's game at Richmond on Nov. 1 will be shown live on Comcast SportsNet.
