VILLANOVA, Pa. - Former Villanova University running back Spencer Prescott is in need of a kidney transplant. To help Prescott with medical costs, a fundraiser has been organized for Saturday, July 25. Full details about the fundraiser are listed below.

Prescott played at Villanova from 1976-79. As a senior in 1979, he tallied 48 carries for 217 yards and one touchdown. He graduated from Villanova in 1980 with a degree in sociology.

Following his playing days Prescott became a college football coach. He served as an assistant at Temple University for 14 seasons under three different head coaches including Bruce Arians (1983-86), Jerry Berndt (1990-92) and Bobby Wallace (1999-05). During his 14-year career at Temple, he coached wide receivers, safeties and running backs.

Prescott and his wife Jennifer are the parents of three children.
