RICHMOND, Va. - The Colonial Athletic Association (CAA) today announced the 2012 Football Academic All-Conference Team. Villanova was well represented on the team with 11 players. The 11 include eight offensive players, two defensive performers and a special teams player.

To be eligible for the CAA Football Academic All-Conference Team, a player must be a starter or important reserve and have a cumulative GPA of 3.00 or better for his entire academic career.

The 11 Wildcats named to the team include junior offensive lineman Josh Bucci, sophomore tight end Morgan Craig, senior defensive end Brennan Erbeznik, freshman wide receiver Kevin Gulyas, sophomore offensive lineman Ross Hall, senior running back Steve Jones, redshirt freshman safety Matt McCann, senior long snapper Adam Nelson, sophomore quarterback Chris Polony, senior offensive lineman Dan Shirey and junior offensive lineman Bill Vogel.
