Villanova improved to 5-0 for the first time since it started the 2003 season with six consecutive wins.

The Wildcats improved to 15-1 (.938) at home since the middle of the 2006 season and won for the sixth consecutive time at Villanova Stadium. The first win of the current streak was a 24-13 win over New Hampshire last season on November 8, while the 15-1 stretch began with a 31-21 victory over Richmond on November 4, 2006.

The Wildcats still trail the all-time series against William & Mary by a 14-12-1 margin after today's game, but Villanova has won the last five meetings in the series. The average margin of victory in the last five wins for the Wildcats is 15.6 points, including a 63-24 win at Villanova Stadium in 2007.

Junior wide receiver Matt Szczur (Erma, N.J.) had not run for a touchdown this season before having two scores on the ground in today's game. Szczur now has 11 career touchdowns, including five rushing, four receiving and two on kick returns.
