Returning for his fifth season as the Villanova football trainer is Tyler Waite. Waite came to Villanova from the United States Military Academy where he worked from 2008-09. His responsibilities at West Point included assisting the head athletic trainer with all aspects of healthcare for football caded-athletes, communicating with strength & conditioning, equipment and coaching staffs regarding injury modification and assisting in the football recruitment process via parent/recruit tours.
Prior to his stint at the United States Military Academy, Waite served a year-long internship with the Buffalo Bills. Before the Bills experience, he was a graduate assistant athletic trainer at Oregon State University where his primary trainer responsibilities were with the football and women's golf programs. Waite also worked with the Oregon State baseball and women's basketball programs.
Waite earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Ohio State University in 2005. He also earned a Master of Science degree in Sports Medicine from Oregon State in 2007.
Waite is single and resides in West Chester, Pa.
