Villanova University offensive tackle Brad Seaton (6-7, 325 lbs.) was taken in the seventh round (236 overall) of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Tennessee Titans. He becomes the second Wildcat to be drafted this weekend.

At the conclusion of spring practice on Friday, April 21, Villanova University head football coach Mark Ferrante announced the four senior players who will serve as team captains for the 2017 season.
Annual Bone Marrow Registry Drive Takes Place Wednesday Morning
The Villanova University football program will host their annual “Get In The Game, Save A Life" bone marrow testing drive on Wednesday, April 19, on campus in the Jake Nevin Field House. The testing drive is open to the public (ages 18 to 44) and it will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kpassagnon Headlines Successful Football Pro Day
With less than a month to go until the NFL Draft, which takes place in Philadelphia from April 27-29 and will the first outdoor draft in league history, Villanova defensive end Tanoh Kpassagnon and several other local players took part in a pro day for NFL scouts and talent evaluators on Monday morning. Kpassagnon was one of four Wildcats who participated in the event. Linebacker Austin Calitro and offensive lineman Brad Seaton also took part in the pro day activities, as did 2015 graduate running back Kevin Monangai. The pro day event was held at Temple’s indoor practice facility.
Football Team Earns 42 Academic All-Conference Selections
Five football players who were named to the CAA Football All-Conference teams for the 2016 season were among the 42 student-athletes from Villanova who were named to the league’s Academic All-Conference squad which was announced on Thursday afternoon. This is the second straight year that the Wildcats have garnered more than 40 all-academic honors, and the program continues to rank among the best in both CAA Football and nationwide for academic achievement.
Villanova Football Represented On and Off the Field at NFL Combine
At this week’s annual NFL Scouting Combine, the Villanova football team will have representation both on and off the field as personnel from all 32 NFL teams evaluate the nation’s top college football players eligible for the upcoming NFL Draft. Senior defensive lineman Tanoh Kpassagnon (Ambler, Pa.) is among the players to receive an official invite to the Combine, while Associate Athletic Trainer Tyler Waite is attending the event as a guest on behalf of the Professional Football Athletic Trainers Society. He is one of just three collegiate football athletic trainers to be invited. Villanova head coach Mark Ferrante is also due to attend the Combine this week.
Football Team Announces Several Additions to Coaching Staff
First-year head coach Mark Ferrante announced several additions to the football staff for the 2017 season on Wednesday afternoon. In filling a number of vacancies on the coaching staff, Ferrante noted the exceptional quality of the candidates that the Villanova program is able to attract. Joining the staff are Brian Jones as running backs coach, Sean Devine as the offensive line coach, Ross Pennypacker as defensive line coach, and Brian Tracz as the strength and conditioning coach.
