Reynolds is BIG EAST Player of the Week

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Scottie Reynolds, who was a catalyst in a pair of Wildcat wins last week over Drexel and Maryland, is the BIG EAST Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference today.
In his return to the Washington, D.C., area, Reynolds delivered 25 points to go with eight assists and five rebounds in the Wildcats 95-86 victory at the Verizon Center in the BB&T Classic. For his efforts, he was named Most Outstanding Player at the BB&T event.
That performance came on the heels of a solid outing against Drexel. In that 77-58 win, Reynolds scored 14 points, tied a career high with eight rebounds, and distributed six assists.
There have now been 16 occasions over the course of Reynolds' career where he has scored 25 points or better in a game.
On Sunday night he moved past Larry Hennessy into 11th place on Villanova's all-time scoring list with 1,742 points and into 12th place on the all-time assists chart, just ahead of current assistant coach Chris Walker with 407 career assists. He is one of only three Wildcat players - Kerry Kittles and Randy Foye are the others - with more than 1,700 points and 400 assists in his college career.
The Wildcats return to action with a Philadelphia Big Five clash against Saint Joseph's on Wednesday night at the Palestra (9:00 p.m./ESPN2).Fans attending the Saint Joseph's-Villanova game on Wednesday, December 9 at The Palestra should be advised that they must enter Parking Lot 1 at 33rd Street between Chestnut and Walnut Streets.
