VILLANOVA, Pa. - Sophomore guard Dylan Ennis (Brampton, Ontario/Lake Forest Academy) suffered a fracture of the third metacarpal bone in his right (shooting) hand during Thursday's practice in the Davis Center.
It is expected that Ennis, who is under the care of Villanova Team Physician Dr. Michael Duncan, will have the hand re-evaluated in four weeks.
The 6-2 sophomore was preparing for his first season of eligibility in 2013-14 when the injury occurred. Ennis played his freshman season at Rice University in 2011-12 before transferring to Villanova in the spring of 2012. He sat out as a transfer last season though he did practice with the Wildcats.
"We're disappointed for Dylan because we know how excited he was about being out there with his teammates," stated Villanova head coach Jay Wright. "But we know that Dylan will work hard during this time so that he is ready to help us as soon as his injury has healed."
