VILLANOVA, Pa. - Villanova fans can catch their first look at a complete scrimmage this Saturday night when the Wildcats' host the annual Blue/White scrimmage at the Pavilion. The event will begin 30 minutes after the completion of Saturday afternoon's Villanova football game against Towson at Villanova Stadium at approximately 7:00 p.m.
The event will be staged to simulate full game conditions for the 2012-13 Wildcats. Admission is free and the Pavilion will be set up as it would on game night with concessions available and Wildcats gear on sale. Following the scrimmage, the 2012-13 Wildcats will be available on the Pavilion court for an autograph session.
"The Blue/White scrimmage is something we look forward to every year," says Villanova head coach Jay Wright. "This is an important step in our preparation for the upcoming season. It gives our guys a chance to simulate game conditions inside the Pavilion as though it were a regular season game."
Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. Fans can arrive early or simply make the short walk from Villanova Stadium into the Pavilion at the conclusion of the football game.
The Blue/White scrimmage wraps up a busy Homecoming Saturday for Villanova Athletics that also includes a men's soccer match on West Campus against Pitt at noon; a volleyball match against Marquette inside Jake Nevin Field House at 1:00 p.m.; and the football game against Towson featuring the nationally ranked Wildcats in a key CAA battle that kicks off at 3:30 p.m.
