VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova Wildcats will take part in the Battle 4 Atlantis this Thanksgiving in the Bahamas and members of the Nova Nation can now make plans to follow the Wildcats to Paradise Island.

Villanova, which returned to the NCAA Tournament for the eighth time in nine seasons in 2012-13, will play games on three consecutive days on Paradise Island, Bahamas, beginning on Thanksgiving (Nov. 28). The event continues with contests on Friday, Nov. 29, and concludes on Saturday, Nov. 30.

Joining the Wildcats in the eight team event are Iowa; Kansas; Tennessee; USC; Wake Forest; UTEP and Xavier (the Musketeers are also a part of the new BIG EAST). A tournament bracket and game times will be announced at a later date. The tournament field boasts a combined 191 NCAA Tournament appearances, 25 Final Four appearances and five NCAA Championships.

The Imperial Arena serves as the basketball venue. The half-million dollar temporary stadium boasts state-of-the-art regulation facilities at the epicenter of the world's largest open-air marine habitat complete with lavish guest accommodations, restaurants, bars, spa, lounges, waterslides and the largest casino in the Bahamas. The 2012 Battle 4 Atlantis championship was played before a sellout crowd by Duke and Louisville.

The Wildcats return four starters from a squad that finished with a 20-14 record.
