VILLANOVA, Pa. - The 2008-09 season will be recalled as one of the most memorable in the annals of Villanova Basketball and fans can relive some of the memories at the 2009 Men's Basketball Banquet on Wednesday, April 22 at the Pavilion.

The event is open to the public and the deadline for reserving a spot at the banquet is Wednesday, April 15. Tickets are $75 per person and can be ordered on-line by clicking on the Men's Basketball Banquet pop-up icon on the home page of villanova.com. The price of the ticket includes dinner and the cocktail reception that precedes it. Please note that all tickets must be purchased prior to the event - there will be no tickets available for purchase at the door.

The event gets underway at 6:00 p.m. with the cocktail portion of the evening. The full program is set to begin at 6:45 p.m.

Head coach Jay Wright will again serve as master of ceremonies. The night will include the debut of the official 2009 highlight video along with a host of awards, including the 2009 Villanova Basketball Award.

This marks the second time the Pavilion has served as the site of the Men's Basketball Banquet. It also hosted as the venue in 2006, following Villanova's trip to the Elite Eight.

The 2008-09 Wildcats established a new school record for victories in a single season (30) and advanced to the Final Four for the first time since 1985.
