Villanova Easily Tops LaSalle, 64-51

Scottie Reynolds added 11 points for Villanova (9-2), which defeated its Big 5 rival for the fifth straight time.
Rodney Green and Darnell Harris each had 12 points for La Salle (6-3), which held Villanova to its lowest point total of the season and outrebounded the Wildcats 41-29.
The Explorers never led in the game, trailed by 19 points late in the first half and 37-26 at halftime. La Salle went on a 15-4 run at the start of the second half and tied the score at 41-all on a 3-pointer by Harris with 14:52 to play.
La Salle stayed within two points until Villanova went on a 6-0 run. La Salle missed six straight shots and Villanova moved out to a 54-46 lead at the 5:22 mark.
The Explorers closed within 54-51 after a layup by Green and a 3-pointer by Mike St. John with 3:15 left, but Sumpter converted a three-point play to start a 8-0 run by the Wildcats that ended the La Salle threat.
