VILLANOVA, Pa. - Coach Wright Opening Statement

"We obviously played well and I am very pleased with our effort. I thought a big part of that was Jason Thompson getting three fouls in the first half. We did good job of going at him and defending him. He has good shooters around him so you have to get out on the shooters, and we did. That is what is pleasing as a coach."

Were you afraid of rust after having 11 days off between games?

"No, because they wanted to play more. We could tell in our practices that guys were just waiting to get out there and play against somebody else. For some reason, our finals seemed like they went longer, we had guys finishing last night. So during those 11 days, we took four days off. I though they were distracted (from basketball), which is good. They really got into their finals, so when they were finally done the last couple days, we had good practices."

On his comfort level in the offense...

"Just like coach said, we are relying on everybody and trusting everybody and then making great plays."

Casiem Drummond

On his comfort level in the offense...

"I felt real comfortable because lately I have been playing well in practice. And I just wanted to play against another team. Instead of going hard against my team, I wanted to show that I can go hard against another team."

Were you anxious going into the game tonight?

"I wouldn't say anxious. I'm just here to play 40 minutes of Villanova basketball for my team. So whenever they need me, I'm just going to go out there and play no matter what time or possession it is."
