VILLANOVA-FORDHAM SERIES NOTES
The Wildcats lead the all-time series with Fordham by a 12-8 margin following tonight's victory. The teams previously met on December 14, 2004 when Villanova tallied a 68-47 victory. Prior to that game, the programs had not played each other since the second round of the NCAA Tournament on March 18, 1971. The Wildcats won that game and eventually reached the championship game of the tournament. The first two meetings between the teams came during Villanova's inaugural season of men's basketball in 1920-21. Fordham claimed victory on January 26, 1921 at Villanova (31-22) and on February 5, 1921 in New York (24-17). The first Villanova win didn't come until December 12, 1945 on campus (56-39).

PAVILION WINNING STREAK
With tonight's win, Villanova extends its second-longest winning streak inside The Pavilion to 17 games. The last loss for the Wildcats in the building came to DePaul, 73-65, on January 6, 2007. Eleven days later, Villanova defeated Notre Dame to begin the current streak. The longest win streak for the Wildcats in their on-campus home is 23 games. That streak began with a win over Pittsburgh on January 18, 1995 and culminated with a 64-46 win over Oral Roberts on January 8, 1997. The streak ended when Villanova fell to Miami (Fla.), 61-59, on January 11.

NOVEMBER SUCCESS
Under head coach Jay Wright, the Wildcats are now 23-7 (.767) in games played in the month of November.

VILLANOVA AND THE CENTURY MARK
The Wildcats scored at least 100 points in a game tonight for the 58th time in their history and the eighth time under head coach Jay Wright. The last 100-point game for Villanova came last season on December 14 in a 103-75 win over Hartford in The Pavilion. The Wildcats have scored at least 100 points in The Pavilion on nine occasions with tonight's win.

The 31 points scored by Dante Cunningham tonight marked the first time a Villanova player scored at least 30 points in a game since Scottie Reynolds had 32 points last season on January 12, at Cincinnati.

STOKES CAREER HIGH REBOUNDS
Sophomore guard Corey Stokes had a career-high eight rebounds in tonight's game. His previous high was seven caroms, which he collected on January 23, 2008 against Rutgers. Stokes had seven rebounds in the first half alone to tie his previous career best.
