VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) -Scottie Reynolds made six 3-pointers and scored 25 points as Villanova beat Rutgers 74-51 on Saturday.

Curtis Sumpter scored 13 points, Dante Cunningham 12 and Mike Nardi 11 for the Wildcats (19-9, 7-7 Big East), who snapped a two-game losing streak.

Villanova jumped out to a 13-2 lead and was never really threatened. Rutgers missed its first eight shots and managed just two free throws in the first eight minutes.

Reynolds' fifth 3-pointer gave the Wildcats a 39-16 lead with 3:36 remaining in the first half. On the Wildcats' final possession of the first half, Reynolds took the inbounds pass and dribbled the length of the floor for a layup as time expired for a 45-18 advantage.

Rutgers never got closer than 21 points the rest of the way.

Marquis Webb scored 12 points and JR Inman had 14 rebounds for Rutgers (10-18, 3-12), which lost its third straight. The Scarlet Knights, who did not qualify for the Big East Tournament, close their regular season with a home game against Notre Dame on Saturday.

Rutgers was held under 60 points for the 16th time this season.
