The staff member with the longest continuous stretch of service to the Villanova Basketball program is head athletic trainer Jeff Pierce. The 2016-17 campaign marks Pierce's 29th season with the basketball team.

On Jan. 13, 2016 Pierce worked his 900th game for the Wildcats and was recognized in a pregame presentation by Director of Athletics Mark Jackson.

Pierce serves as the athletic department's sports medicine program's point person with the men's basketball program. Along with team physician Dr. MichaelDuncan and team orthopedic surgeon Dr. Rob Good , Pierce helps oversee the daily rehablitation efforts of those athletes in the program coping with injury.

Pierce holds bachelor of science and masters degrees from West Chester University and was awarded a masters degree in public administration from Villanova in 2005.

Pierce and his wife Rhonda make their home in Phoenixville, Pa. They have two daughters, Kelly and Lindsey.
