Villanova freshman was forced to the sideline as a high school senior
One of the longest tenured members of the Villanova basketball staff is head athletic trainer Jeff Pierce. In 1988, Pierce came to Villanova to serve as the primary trainer for the men's basketball team, a role he has held ever since. He holds bachelor of science and masters degrees from West Chester University and was awarded a masters degree in public administration from Villanova University in 2005.
Pierce serves as the athletic departmen's sports medicine program's point person with the men's basketball team. Along with team orthopedic surgeon Dr. Rob Good and team physician Dr. Frank Furman, Pierce helps oversee the daily rehabilitation efforts of those athletes in the program coping with injury, large or small.
Pierce and his wife Rhonda reside in Phoenixville, Pa. They have two daughters, Kelly and Lindsey.
