Former Wildcat has High School Jersey Retired

Former Villanova Wildcat Jason Lawson had his high School basketball jersey retired on Tuesday June 10, at an Olney High School Athletic awards luncheon. Lawson's #42 will hang in the Olney High School basketball gymnasium. Although Lawson could not be there in person many family and friends were in attendance to help commemorate the awards luncheon. Lawson's Family accepted a plaque in honor of Lawson's outstanding high school career. The plaque read "For Demonstrating Academic and Athletic Achievement, School Service and Commitment."

The Philadelphia Public League Coaches association also named a scholarship in Lawson's honor. The recipient of this $100.00 book scholarship was Duane Nash, who may use this scholarship at the college of his choice.

Olney High School coach James Evans presented both awards to Lawson's parents.
