Wildcats Cancel Scout Day Following Heavy Rain

Saturday's event will not be rescheduled

The baseball team will play its annual Intra-Squad World Series this coming week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

VILLANOVA, Pa. - Due to unplayable field conditions following heavy rain over the last few days, the Villanova baseball team has cancelled its annual Scout Day which had been scheduled for Saturday morning. The event will not be rescheduled.

More than six inches of rain fell in the area on Thursday and Friday, remnants of Tropical Storm Nicole that moved through the region late in the week. The heavy rain created unplayable conditions at the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth.

Although fall ball is starting to wind down, the highlight of the fall season will be coming up for the team this week. Villanova will play its annual Blue-Gray Intra-Squad World Series at the ballpark on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
