TALE OF TWO SEASONS: Senior shortstop Brian Trotta began the 2004 season in an offensive cold-spell batting .152 (10-for-66) with nine runs, one double and five RBI through the first 23 games of the season. Beginning with a 3-for-4 day at Notre Dame on April 3rd, Trotta started a stretch over the next 24 contests in which he has hit .317 (26-for-82) with 19 runs scored, five doubles, two triples, one home run and 14 RBI.
