VILLANOVA, Pa. - A second straight day of wet weather has cancelled the home baseball game against Temple, which had been scheduled for Wednesday afternoon. The game will not be made up. The rainout is the sixth game that Villanova has had to cancel this season as a result of inclement weather or related schedule conflicts.
With both of their midweek games rained out the Wildcats will not turn their attention to a conference series against Georgetown this weekend. Villanova returns to Bethesda, Md. after sweeping the Hoyas at Shirley Povich Field to end the 2013 season. The series opener is on Friday night at 7 p.m. and the teams will also play Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sunday at 1 p.m.
