Florida Trip Concludes With 11-1 Loss to Bucknell on Sunday
The early part of each baseball season is always an odyssey of sorts for cold-weather teams, and that portion of the 2018 schedule came to a close for Villanova (4-8) in an 11-1 loss to Bucknell (3-8) at Osceola County Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The game was the last of seven for the Wildcats during an 11-day swing through Florida over Spring Break, a trip which followed three-game series at Norfolk State and USC last month. Added all up, Villanova will have traveled well over 8,000 miles to play its first 12 games of the season. With that stretch completed, the Wildcats are now scheduled to play 21 of their next 26 games at home in the coming weeks.
