Villanova (28-26, 10-16 BIG EAST) was limited to just three hits and was shut out for the second time this season in a 6-0 loss at Rutgers (30-23, 15-11 BIG EAST) at Bainton Field on Friday afternoon. The loss was the third straight for the Wildcats, who had not previously lost a series to the Scarlet Knights since the 2007 season.

Tuesday's Baseball Game Cancelled, Will Not Be Rescheduled

Tuesday afternoon's scheduled baseball game between Villanova and Penn State has been cancelled due to the heavy rain that fell on Monday night and Tuesday morning. The game will not be rescheduled and the Wildcats will now get set to open a three-game series at Rutgers on Thursday afternoon.
