Allowed three earned runs or fewer in nine of his 12 starts and pitched into at least the sixth inning five times ... Surrendered only two home runs to 259 batters faced ... Struck out a career-high nine batters in a home start against La Salle, going six innings in which he allowed just two earned runs in an eventual 7-5 victory ...
