2016: Made his collegiate debut after a redshirt season and played in 20 games during the season, including two starts as the designated hitter ... Went 3-for-26 (.115) at the plate with a double and two runs batted in ... Drew one walk and struck out 11 times ... All three of his hits came in pinch hitting opportunities ... His first collegiate hit was a double against Hartford ... Had an RBI single against NYIT; BIG EAST: Came off the bench to appear in five conference games ... Went 1-for-5 with a walk and two strikeouts ... Singled as a pinch hitter against Georgetown.

2015: Redshirted.

Seton Hall Prep: Earned two varsity letters and batted .390 with 30 runs batted in and 28 runs scored during his two years on the varsity squad ... Named a third team all-county selection and earned conference honorable mention honors ... Chosen by Perfect Game for its Northeast Class of 2014 honorable mention list ... Achieved Honor Roll status academically all four years ... Was a teammate of current Villanova sophomore Mike Sgaramella.

Personal: Born 11/4/95 in Morristown, N.J. ... One of four children of Paul and Kathy DeRenzi ... Siblings are Matthew (25), Allison (22) and Michael (21) ... Both brothers played college baseball ... Matthew was an outfielder at Brown and twin brother Michael is currently a sophomore on the baseball team at Georgetown ... Hobbies include being a certified scuba diver ... Chose to attend Villanova for its excellent academic reputation and the chance to play Division I baseball ... Economics major.
