Assistant Coach

Entering his 15th season with the Wildcat baseball team is Lou Soscia. Besides handling the first base coaching duties, Soscia also helps with game-day strategy and on-field instruction. In addition, he serves as the team?s batting practice pitcher, putting in countless hours ?behind the screen? working with the Wildcat hitters.

A well-known figure in amateur baseball in the Delaware Valley, Soscia spent four seasons in the Braves organization, following his collegiate days at West Chester State. Soscia was the head coach at Upper Darby High School from 1963-86, where Bennett was his assistant from 1963-69. Soscia and his wife, Jan, reside in Brookhaven, Pa.
