Compiled a 2-0 record and one save with a 3.54 ERA in 40 2/3 innings pitched ... Gave up 36 hits and held opponents to a .259 batting average against him ... Surrendered 18 runs (16 earned) while walking 22 and striking out 28 ... Faced 174 batters without allowing a home run ... Led the team with seven pickoffs ... Did not allow an earned run in 10 of his 15 relief outings ... Pitched five scoreless innings of relief with seven strikeouts in a 5-4 win over Buffalo ... Logged two scoreless innings and earned his first collegiate save in a 2-1 win at Norfolk State ... Earned victories in back-to-back appearances in a start against Miami (Ohio) and a relief appearance against Maryland-Eastern Shore ... Went a season-high 5 2/3 innings and allowed one run on four hits in a start against Temple; BIG EAST: Pitched seven times in relief against conference opponents and had a 3.86 ERA in 11 2/3 innings ... Yielded one run over three innings in his collegiate debut at Norfolk State ... In his eight relief appearances combined to pitch 17 1/3 innings with a 2.08 ERA and 7.8 strikeouts per nine innings ... Pitched at least three innings of relief on three occasions ... Surrendered just three earned runs over 14 1/3 innings (2.03 ERA) spanning his last seven outings of the year; BIG EAST: Pitched six times out of the bullpen against conference opponents and recorded a 1.38 ERA ... Haverford School: Received four varsity letters in baseball, three in football and one in basketball ... As a senior went 8-1 with a 0.98 ERA, 75 strikeouts and just 12 walks in 50 2/3 innings ... Was the Inter-AC and Delaware County MVP as well as a first team all-star in 2010 ... Also received all-city and All-Southeastern Pennsylvania recognition as a senior ... Two-time first team All-Main Line ... Second team All-Inter AC in 2009 ... Played in the 2009 Carpenter Cup ... As a football player was a first team All-Inter AC selection as a senior, as well as a second team All-Delaware County pick and an honorable mention all-city performer.
