His first hit came in his second at-bat, an RBI single in the midst of a nine-run ninth inning against Central Connecticut ... Villanova started their final at-bat trailing 14-4 before nearly rallying ... Kuhn batted a second time in the inning, and with a runner at third base, hit a line drive into right field that would have tied the game were it not for a sprawling catch made by the Central Connecticut right fielder.

Central Catholic High School: Earned four varsity letters in baseball and two in football; Named a Small Schools All-State baseball player as a junior and senior and was also named All-League and All-District both years; Voted the Southern League MVP as a senior, when he batted .457 and led the district in runs scored and stolen bases; All-League defensive back for the football team; Ran a 4.52 40-yard dash during his junior year; Scholar Athlete Award recipient all four years; Salutatorian of his high school class; Received the Sac-Joaquin Section Dale Lackey Award in 2004.
