A new location and a relatively unfamiliar opponent awaits Villanova (22-25, 7-8 BIG EAST) in the final series of the regular season, as the Wildcats travel to Creighton (27-17, 10-4 BIG EAST) for a three-game set at TD Ameritrade Park. The team arrived in Omaha on Wednesday evening and is set to play the series opener today at 12:30 p.m. Central time. Friday's game gets underway at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday's contest is slated for 1 p.m.
Jewitt Goes Deep in 10th Inning as Wildcats Outlast Saint Joseph’s, 6-5
Junior third baseman Kevin Jewitt (West Chester, Pa.) hit a two-run home run in the top of the 10th inning and Villanova (22-25) hung on in the bottom of the inning for a 6-5 win over Saint Joseph’s (20-26) at Smithson Field on Tuesday afternoon. Jewitt’s blast to left field for his fourth homer of the season with nobody out in the 10th accounted for the difference in the back-and-forth contest and the Wildcats closed out their midweek game schedule with a 6-1 record this year against other Big Five teams.
Baseball Takes Series From Seton Hall on Comeback Win, 12-10
The Villanova baseball team (21-25, 7-8 BIG EAST) won the series and completed a seven-run comeback in the final innings of the weekend series finale against Seton Hall (22-22, 7-8 BIG EAST) on Saturday afternoon, 12-10. The Wildcats used a six-run sixth and a three-run seventh to erase a seven-run deficit in the second game of a doubleheader.
Baseball Drops Game One of Saturday Doubleheader, 3-2
The Villanova baseball (20-25, 6-8 BIG EAST) dropped game one of Saturday's doubleheader to Seton Hall (22-21, 7-7 BIG EAST) by the final of 3-2. The loss evened the series up at one apiece after the Wildcats won the Friday matchup. Villanova honored seniors Josh Harris, B.J. Bochicchio, Jeff Courter and senior team manager Stuart Younger before the start of the game.

The Villanova baseball team (20-24, 6-7 BIG EAST) won the first game of the series on Friday from the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth by a 7-5 final over Seton Hall (21-21, 6-7 BIG EAST). The teams will conclude the three-game series tomorrow with a doubleheader. Game one on Saturday will begin at 12:30 p.m. The Wildcats will honor its four seniors before the start at 12:20 p.m.

Bottom of Batting Order Produces For Wildcats in 11-2 Win Over Butler
The bottom four hitters in the batting order combined to drive in five runs in the second and third innings, and Villanova (19-24, 5-7 BIG EAST) kept the offense rolling after that in an 11-2 win over Butler (18-27, 5-7 BIG EAST) at Bulldog Park on Sunday afternoon. Senior starting pitcher Josh Harris (Streamwood, Ill.) and junior reliever Kagan Richardson (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif.) combined on a seven-hitter for the Wildcats, who salvaged the final game of a three-game series in their first-ever road series against the Bulldogs.
Wildcats Drop Second Game of Series to Butler, 4-1
Junior shortstop Eric Lowe (Arlington Heights, Ill.) continued his assault on conference pitching with two more hits but Villanova (18-24, 4-7 BIG EAST) managed just a single run in the first inning and lost 4-1 to Butler (18-26, 5-6 BIG EAST) in the second game of a three-game series at Bulldog Park on Saturday afternoon. After taking an early lead in the top of the first inning, the Wildcats were unable to capitalize on any of their scoring chances the rest of the way.
