Villanova Baseball vs. La Salle

Villanova defeated La Salle, 5-3, on March 26 in a game that was part of the Liberty Bell Classic.

On May, Jr.: A strong offensive player who swings the bat well and has shown a great deal of promise ... Solid defender at all three outfield positions and has one of the better arms on the team ... Terrific all-around athlete who can contribute to the team in a variety of ways ... Will compete to earn playing time in the outfield during the season ... Came to Villanova after being drafted out of high school by the St. Louis Cardinals.

Career: Has played in 34 games with six starts in two seasons, while battling injuries for part of his career ... Has one hit and two runs scored in 24 at bats with two walks, one hit by pitch and 13 strikeouts ... In the field has 12 putouts and one assist without committing an error.

2014: Appeared in seven games with one start early in the season before missing time with an injury ... Went 0-for-4 with three strikeouts ... Recorded three putouts and one assist in the field ... Started in left field during the opening series of the season at Charleston Southern and had a putout and an outfield assist in the series finale.

Pinch ran and scored the winning run in the 10th inning of a 4-3 win over Marist ... Had nine putouts in the outfield; BIG EAST: Played in 10 conference games with one start ... Earned first team all-conference honors in baseball all four years and was also a two-time all-state selection his junior and senior years ... As a football player earned first team all-conference accolades two times at both wide receiver and defensive end.

Father and grandfather, Dave May, each played in the major leagues and brother, Donovan, is a freshman playing for Villanova ... Mother played collegiate volleyball at Delaware State ... Also has an uncle who played college baseball at Delaware ... Hobbies include lifting weights, bowling, swimming, snowboarding, reading and watching scary movies ...
