EMPLOYING A STUDENT-ATHLETE
Boosters MAY employ or arrange for employment for a student-athlete during the academic year and summer vacation period provided the following conditions are met:
- Student-athlete is only paid for the work actually performed,
- Student-athlete is paid at the going rate for similar services and experience, and
- Student-athlete may not be compensated in any manner for value or utility that they may have for an employer because of any publicity, reputation, fame, or personal following that they may have obtained because of their athletic ability
Boosters MUST register employment opportunities with Villanova's Office of Athletics Compliance before employment.
Boosters MAY NOT use the name, picture, or appearance of an enrolled student-athlete to advertise, recommend, or promote sales or use of commercial product or service or any kind.
