VILLANOVA, PA. - Villanova University Head Coach Marcus O'Sullivan was recently named the Mid-Atlantic Region's Cross Country Coach of the Year - an award presented by the United States Cross Country Coaches Association (USCCCA).

The Wildcat men's cross country team won the NCAA Mid-Atlantic Region Championship for the second consecutive year in 2003.

Villanova finished third at the Big East Championships this season, led by Big East individual champion Jon Fasulo. The Wildcats would end the season with an 11th place finish at the NCAA Championships in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
