Men's Cross Country Finishes 31st at NCAA Championships

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. - The men's cross country squad earned 31st place at the NCAA Championships on Monday afternoon at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course, hosted by Indiana State University.

Oregon took home the team title in the 10K, followed by Iona and Stanford. Wisconsin and Auburn took fourth and fifth place respectively.

Sophomore Hugo Beamish was the top finisher for the Wildcats as he crossed the finish line in 30:40. Junior Daniel Lewis earned 131st place as he finished in 31:07. Sophomore Keith Capecci ran the course in 31:30, while freshman Carl Mackenzie finished in 31:48. Senior Steven Curley and freshman Chris Williams finished the course in 32:02 and 32:43 respectively.

This was Villanova's second consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championships.
