VILLANOVA, Pa. - The No. 17 men's cross country squad is set to compete in the NCAA Championships on Monday at the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind.

The men will run a 10K that is set to begin at 12:08 p.m. ET near the campus of Indiana State University.

The Wildcats have climbed up the polls all season starting at No. 30 after the first week.

Villanova has had a strong season finishing second at the Mid-Atlantic Regional, earning an automatic championship berth, and third at the BIG EAST Championship racing against several ranked opponents.

Sophomore Mathew Mildenhall has been a steady presence for the Wildcats and has finished second individually in three races this season, most recently at the Mid-Atlantic Regional.

Junior Hugo Beamish came in fourth at regionals and fifth earlier in the season at the Bill Dellinger Invitational.

Villanova had six runners named to the All-Mid-Atlantic Region team as Mathew Mildenhall (2nd), Hugo Beamish (4th), Dan Lewis (10th), Bobby Papazian (11th), Carl Mackenzie (21st) and Matt Gibney (22nd) finished in the top-25.

The race will be broadcast live on the VERSUS network. This will mark the first time ever the cross country championship will be broadcast in High Definition. The event can also be seen on VERSUS, a nationally known sports network, which can be seen in over 75 million U.S. homes. This is the third straight year the Division I Cross Country National Championships will be broadcast on live television.
